BEES is provided by a group of Black professionals and volunteers to create safe black spaces to support Black people on their most important personal journey. We share the same vision: we want to provide safe spaces where Black people can be heard, supported and live authentically.
Supporting people to work through, past and beyond barriers is the start of the journey. The increased ability to recognise and set their your own values should not be underestimated. The development of an authentic and empowered community is essential.
By accessing a culturally sensitive response to deal with issues that have affected them historically and in their daily lives, we enrich and empower each individual. To be able to gain advice and representation on options available to them in the wider context is invaluable. Black people across London and beyond will be able to explore key issues without having to re-explain their cultural base, nuances and history in depth.
Empowered and enriched individuals build empowered and enriched communities.
Just be Black - This service will not discriminate on the basis of gender identity, sexuality, disability or other protected characteristics, as defined by the Equalities Act 2010, or in any way that supports a limited framework of understanding and humanity.
The black community will always be active in defining and choosing its own path. Every black person is part of that community and may sometimes need help and support to clear any barriers, allowing them to focus on their path ahead.
A safe haven for our community to speak confidentially about their issues and receive professional support from people who understand them.
We will provide information on other services/organisations so that you are In control of your own choices.
Ensuring there’s a clear form of communication with the correct people and statutory service providers is the first step to a good resolution. We’re here to help you achieve this.
Jenni is the CEO & Founder of BEES and a qualified therapist with over 20 yrs experience. She has worked with diverse communities both in and out of London, in areas of extreme wealth and deprivation. For Jenni and her team the formation of BEES was inevitable ...
Without the support of the BEES team, volunteers and mentors,
BEES would not exist.
The opportunity to work with great people who understand the intent in building and strengthening our community is essential. Thank you all.
You know who you are!!
